Tenents of Faith
I. We believe the bible to be the infallible, and authoritative Word of God, written by men of old as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (II Tim 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Heb 4;12)
II. We believe that there is one God supreme over all the universe and creator of all things, who has revealed himself as father in creation, son in redemption, and Holy Ghost in regeneration (Deut 6:4, Isa 43:10-11, Mt. 28:19, Lke 3:22, Jn. 1:1-14, Tit 3:5)
III. We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin birth. He is fully God and man. He came down to earth to save mankind from their sins. (Lk 1:35,Jn 1:1-2,Jn 1:14, Col 2:9 I Pet 2:24)
IV. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of the promise that he would send his spirit to dwell among men. The Holy Spirit is a gift from God who empowers us to do the work of the ministry, live a holy life, and to become a witness to the world. (Lk 24:49,Jn 14:26, Acts 1:4-8, II Cor 1:21,I Jn 2:20)
V. We believe that the salvation of man is through the finished work of the cross. For it is by grace through faith that men are saved and not of themselves. For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation” (Jn 3:3,Rom 3:24 10;8-17,Eph 2:8, Heb 9:22, I Jn 1:7)
VI. We believe in the ordinances of baptism by water in observance of the scriptures. We believe that water baptism is by immersion, and that it was commanded by Christ himself, and that it is an outward confirmation to the world, and a inward grace that they have died and risen with Jesus Christ .( Mt 28:19, Jn 3:1 6;Acts 2:38; Rom. 2:28,29; 6:3 10; Gal.3:26 29; Col.2:9 13; 1 Pet.3:18 22; 1 John 5:8)
VII. We believe in the ordinances of Communion and foot washing as a memorial of the covenant God made with mankind through the shed blood of his son Jesus Christ. On the night that Christ was betrayed, He instituted this "remembrance." "And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you" (Mt 26:26-29; Mk 14:22-25(Mk 14:24; Lk 22:19-20,Jn 13:1-17 I Cor 11:23 32)
VIII. We believe in the scared covenant of matrimony implemented by God himself between a man and a woman as practiced according to the holy scriptures.(Gen 2:24, Mt 19:5 I Cor 6:16, Eph 5:31)
IX. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back one day to rapture the church from the earth. (I Corth 15:51-52, I Thess 4:16-17, II Thess 2:1)
X. We believe the return of our Lord Jesus Christ with his Saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth as the Scriptures promised (Rom 11:25 27, II Thess 1:7, Rev 19:11-16, 20:1-7) After this, there shall be a new heaven and a new earth (Rev 21)
XI. We believe that the church is the body of Christ, and the place of habitation where God dwells through the spirit. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in Heaven (Eph 1;22, 2;19-22, Heb 12:23)
XII. We believe that all those who rejects the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from God. The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and anyone whose name is not found written in the lambs book of life, shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. (Rev 19:20, 20:10-15)
